No doubt you've already heard it said that most new year resolutions are broken before the end of the first day! How good it is to have a God who is always consistent, never breaks his word and follows through on every plan! Here's looking forward to all that 2012 will bring in His strength.....
A message for our times?

This Christmas at HT we are reflecting that four times in the nativity story the message comes 'Don't be afraid'. In fact, God says it at least another 361 times in other places in the Bible (one for every day!)

Which comes first: the gift or the need for it?

Lots of Christians have been brought up with the idea that they need to find their gift and then they can ask God what to do with it. Liberating or stifling? Seems to me that it leaves lots of us stuck around waiting for the big revelation. Read more ...

A great time on Sunday at the Prophecy Seminar....at the end of the session I asked
Who had felt nervous at the beginning - all hands went up!
Who had felt blessed by God as a result of the process of taking it in turns to pray and share - all hands went up!
Who had felt that God had used the time to share something special or distinctive that no-one praying could have known about - most hands went up!

Tomorrow morning we have out church prayer meeting from 9.15-10.00am.....remember the TV advert slogan 'one call does it all'?! (And it is a well know fact that bacon rolls eaten in the coffee shop after prayer contain no calories.) Read more ...

Day 1: Arrive at New Wine and set up new tent with some difficulty. Mike teases me for arriving via Bristol. Cook a nice chilli, then go to register children into their clubs. Ellamay excited to find a Treasure Island style set at her Venue, which looks about 5 times the size of Walton Hall and with more spotlights than Vegas. Read more ...
