First Friday
Andrew Blyth — Fri, 04/12/2009 - 12:01am
How many ways might each of us pray in a typical day? Lord Help - as the alarm goes off. Reflection as you sip the first coffee of the day. 'God bless mummy and daddy' as you rush to get to the school gate. A song on the CD. A walk. An e-mail wish to a friend in need.
'when 2 or 3 are gathered in my name' - the 'First Friday' in the month is when we call HT to gather and pray for some aspect of our community life. A day when we trust in the power of the Holy Spirit to join hundreds of prayers, expressed in hundreds of ways, in hundreds of places into one voice praying 'your kingdom come'. Our focus this month is on 'reaching out' to others - that we will join in God's rescue mission to the world

The importance of prayer
Welcome Guest — Mon, 08/02/2010 - 10:51amDear friends at HT,
I have just returned from my new incumbents residential in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. The Lord really has blessed me and I am sure all the participents especially in the area of prayer.
The Lord has laid upon my heart to do more prayer walks in my parish. God bless.

photos of worship
Welcome Guest — Tue, 08/12/2009 - 11:18pmThanks to Pete Warner and others for all the photos of Adventus and of other contemporary worship ideas. Refreshing new ways to focus prayer are always welcome. I found Adventus a great encouragement, not least for the appreciation of all the creative talent we have at HT right now.
out there and everywhere
Andrew Henderson — Sat, 05/12/2009 - 4:13pmYes, and we are all in this together - when one of us is not tuned in to prayer, another carries us, until maybe we carry them next time. When someone else seems to be praying fluently we need to learn to just let them, and not worry whether we can find such easy words ourselves.
out there and everywhere
Andrew Blyth — Fri, 04/12/2009 - 9:14pmThanks Andrew - in a lot of my daily interactions I'm trying hard to remember the truth that God's Kingdom is both visible (musturd seed) and invisible (the yeast)......or another words, it's more than I see!
prayer
Andrew Henderson (not verified) — Fri, 04/12/2009 - 8:50pmWork colleagues meet to pray again together this week - only once a month at the moment - used to be daily - but still very, very encouraging to know that God's people are out there and everywhere!
