Goodbye sadness hello grace

I am officially sad. I'm one of those who really struggles through the dark winter mornings. But my mood has been improving since the shortest day on 21st December (yes I really am that sad) and Spring is coming!
And what better time than Valentine's Day to start a sermon series on the book of Ephesians. A book that in so mnay ways sums up the Apostle Paul's key teaching themes. A book that speaks of God's overflowing love and grace in Jesus Christ. A book that speaks of this grace reconciling and uniting those previously divided. A book that speaks of this grace flowing into and out from the church. Friends we've already met an enormous challenge with the capital we have invested into this church's bricks and mortar but in mnay ways the real work starts now - investing even more in the people. We are the body of Christ. We are to be the living sign and agents of God's love mission to the world. Let the light shine!
