You may have noticed that at the beginning of the year  Walton Pond was been given a new lease of life.  After consultation with The Pond Society work was undertaken to give the pond a makeover. With a large amount of plant material removed and recycled the result is  space for both the plants and ducks.
 
If you are interested in shaping the future for this historic pond , managing its upkeep  or would just like to find out why it was designed this way  then you are welcome at the inaugural meeting of the Friends of Walton Pond to be held at the Queens Park Centre tomorrow evening (9th September) at 7.30.
