FUEL: CAFE CHURCH
CAFE NEWS!: Autumn menu – ChEWY ChOCOLATE BrOWNIES & BeLGIAN WaFFLES (with luxury Ice Cream).
Fuel Cafe is open on the 1st & 3rd Sunday each month, gathering at 6.30pm – 9.00pm in a relaxed cafe atmosphere with music and great coffee & snacks to order.
The 1st Sunday of each month is a really informal gathering – a time to meet up, talk and maybe pray about things with friends over a coffee, listen to music. Sometimes there’s a short discussion topic, or a theme to get you thinking over your latte or machiatto! It’s relaxed and laid back. There’s also space for some space if you’d like it too.
On the 3rd Sunday each month expect the same as above, with the addition of some contemporary worship as we gather in the worship space (at about 7.30pm), with a challenging Bible message which includes time to respond and pray. Or, if that’s not your thing you can simply enjoy another coffee in the Cafe while you take it all in.
Sept 20th: ‘Making Good Work’. Speaker: Ali Wheeler.
Ali lives in Aylesbury, and is married to Pete. She has worked in Marketing and Media, and is currently a Graphic Designer. She loves cardamom and country, but not frogs.
Oct 18th: ‘Moulding Culture & A Mouthpiece For Justice’. Speaker: Laura Lenander.
Laura lives in Aylesbury, is an Art Teacher and loves to lead others in worshiping with creativity. She’s married to Mike. They have a daughter, Katelyn and a puppy called Trent.
November: ‘In The Silence & The Noise’
Nov 1st: ‘The Mass’. Nov 15th: ‘The Club’.
Experience the contrast of finding God in the both the silence and the noise, as we are led in two contrasting styles of worship.
One, an anglo-catholic Eucharist with incense and liturgy:
Father Doug Zimmerman will be coming to Fuel to explain the whole celebration of a high mass (a eucharist, or communion!). Ever wanted to know what all that incense is for? What’s a creed? And why the dress?!
The other, a club night with some serious christian dance tunes and a christian DJ. We’ll be dancing and chilling the night away.
Previous Fuel Cafe’s:
5 speakers, 5 topics, 5 minutes
At Fuel we think journeying together is important. It means welcoming everyone, whatever stage of faith (or not) you’re at, and discovering together what it means for us to do life with God. Anyone and everyone is welcome – just expect a contemporary style!
There are also other social gatherings and weekends away. And because we’re part of something bigger there are Small Groups & Clusters (so if you want to meet with others during the week, just ask us) as well as Worship and Discipleship events to get involved in too.
