I like acts of confession and worship that are physical - especially in a Small Group setting. They get us up out of our cosy spots on the sofa in our Living Rooms and in doing so, stop us becoming people that merely 'think' rather than 'do'. (Oh - it's not easy, I know. We'd all much rather not have to move....)

We all need a little kick in the pants occasionally. 'The Noise' is one such small kick in the pants, reminding us that it's just not enough to meet once a week and 'huddle', looking inwards instead of out. Faith, evangelism, and justice are lived out in our communities (and all under the umbrella of Worship!)

I admit that neither Ali or I feel very politicised. I'm easily confused by the helter skelter of political opinions, and besides, quite frankly, highly opinionated people tend to make me withdraw! However, I'm taking steps to try and take my social responsibility and freedom to vote more seriously, as the General Election looms.

I must admit that I am enjoying the presumably co-incidental and thought-provoking juxtaposition (a word I use slightly less since I took a break from Garden Design) of the start of Lent - beginning our look at 'Fasting & Feasting' - and the fact that it is 'Eating Disorders Awareness Week' - awareness being the operative word. How aware are you - really?
