At HT we love to express our Worship in every possible way. Creative worship times at HT  encourage us to express Worship through the use of many different Arts including: Sculpture / Photography / Creative Writing & Poetry / Drama / Mutimedia / Video / Dance / Graphics / Painting & Drawing / and more.....

Why?

We would most likely all agree that Worship isn't about the physical act of singing, or even about helping the poor & homeless per se. After all, anyone can do those things. Instead Worship is about giving glory to God through the outward expression and posture of our own hearts and lives. There are many ways to express this (including, but not limited to, singing and social action!)

What Can I Bring?

Funnily enough, the Shepherds and the Wise Men asked the same question. Worship always involves bringing and giving - a sacrifice of praise. As we bring and give, we also lead and teach - something that the apostle Paul readily enourages us to do. The arts are such a great way in which to do this.

Perhaps you are able to take photographs that capture and present a facet of God's nature that others are able to share in, or when you dance or write you can better express how you feel about your journey with God.

Times of creative worship are often informal, with a theme. Sometimes the art is traditional and other times contemporary - but always with the hope that through Worship we will go deeper, and God will reveal more.
