Faith
is personal but not private. God calls us to look outward - to connect
with the needs of our friends, work colleagues, local community,
country and world. At Holy Trinity we aim to express our faith through
practical initiatives, financial giving, prayer and publicity.
For
friends and contacts who want a chance to ask questions about the
Christian faith and particularly Jesus Christ we offer Alpha
courses. Over 10 weeks the course offers an opportunity to ask
questions about the meaning of life and Christian beliefs in a relaxed
and unpressured environment. Evenings begin with a meal, followed
by a short talk and leave plenty of time to chat. Topics include
'Who is Jesus?', 'Why did He die?' 'How do people communicate with
God?' and 'What happens when we die?'.
For
practical action in this country we have recently supported projects
including The Noise and Soul in the City.

SCHOOLS
To
outreach to the local schools we employ a Children's Evangelist,
Carolyn Edwards.
Carolyn
leads our school's ministry; visiting and leading in assemblies,
Christian Unions and RE lessons. We are keen to build links
with unchurched youngsters by providing simple, relevant answers
to their questions and relating our faith to the daily issues
they encounter.
Among
her other roles she co-ordinates our annual children's holiday
club and teaches on children's evangelism.
